Piscis SD-WAN supports Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) across all its deployment models SD-WAN, SD-Branch, and SASE  enabling rapid, secure, and scalable onboarding of edge devices without manual configuration.

1- Device Pre-Registration

Each edge device is tagged with a unique identifier (MAC, serial, or certificate) and pre-associated with a site profile in the Piscis orchestrator.

2- Bootstrapping via Internet Access

Upon power-up, the device connects to the internet and reaches the cloud controller using secure channels (TLS/SSL).

3- Automatic device onboarding: Edge devices connect to the controller, authenticate, and receive full configuration without manual CLI input

4- Session Validation & Logging

The device initiates control and data plane sessions, which are logged for audit and troubleshooting. Failover paths and SLA policies are validated automatically.

Security & Compliance Features:

- Encrypted provisioning channels (TLS 1.2+)

- Role-based access control for provisioning workflows

- Provisioning event logs with timestamp, device ID, and policy hash

Operational Benefits:

- Rapid rollout: Hundreds of devices can be provisioned in parallel

- Audit-ready logs: Every provisioning event is logged for compliance and troubleshooting.
